About
Yarning Gray
Yarning Gray is a majority Aboriginal-owned and operated enterprise based in Gladstone, Queensland. Established in 2022 by David Mailman, a proud member of the First Nation Bidjara People, and Michael Gray, a fifth-generation farmer.
Yarning Gray was founded with a shared vision:
to address climate challenges through scalable regenerative agricultural activities.
At its core, Yarning Gray combines cultural knowledge with agricultural innovation to deliver solutions that transform landscapes and economies. The company is unapologetically ambitious in its pursuit of opportunities within the climate agenda, including renewables such as torrefied bio-pellets, topsoil regeneration, and biofuels.
These initiatives not only deliver multiple returns on investment (ROIs) but also create significant, measurable environmental, social, and economic impacts. This includes employment creation, fostering Indigenous and regional business opportunities, and driving infrastructure growth in rural and remote areas.
